Frequently Asked Questions:
What time should I arrive?
We ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your booking. We will do our best to accommodate late arrivals, but due to the nature of our system we cannot guarantee you will receive your full time if you show up late. WARNING: Traffic on the street in front of our shop (82nd) can get very backed up from roughly 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Please be sure to take this and other road conditions into consideration prior to departure.
What should I wear?
Anything you feel comfortable in! Keep in mind, some games get very active so restrictive clothing may impede your enjoyment. As long as you're wearing shoes, we don't mind the kind. Just do what feels best to you!
What about my glasses?
Our headsets are made to fit over glasses! However, if you have contacts it wouldn't hurt to wear those instead. It's completely up to you.
Are there any age/height/weight etc restrictions?
The head gear is a little heavy, so parental discretion will be required for small heads. We also ask young children be accompanied by a parent or guardian, as we may require your judgement for certain games. (Those games will be restricted to children under 13 unless approved by a parent or guardian). Everyone else 14 to 114 is freely welcome, and we have no height or weight restrictions.
Will VR make me sick?
There is always a chance those of us who are highly susceptible to motion sickness will feel a little ill, but because we use the highest quality technology on the market that risk is greatly decreased. The tech is specifically developed to match your bodies natural movement tricking your mind into feeling completely normal. However, if you do start to feel the least bit nauseous, take the headset off and let one of our team members know.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
With exception to private party deposits: if you cancel at least 24 hours before your time, there is no penalty. If you need to cancel within 24 hours of your time, contact us so we can discuss the best solution on an individual case basis. Typically we will offer credit for a different time that better fits your needs. Unfortunately there is no refund for no-shows.
What happens if I have to stop before my time is up?
If your time is disrupted by an error on our end, you will be fully compensated for the time remaining. If the disruption occurs on your end, we will always try our best to resolve the issue in a timely and satisfactory manor. However, unless the issue arises with 85% of your time remaining, we cannot issue full refunds.
What if I don't like certain genres of game or don't want my child playing certain games?
There are plenty of different games spanning a wide array of genres. Let us know what you like and we guarantee we will find one for you. As for your kids, we will consult you or their appointed chaperone before allowing them to play any games that may be of risky nature, but otherwise just talk to us and we will be more than happy to tailor their experience to your needs.
Food and drink policy?
Every guest will be provided (upon request) one bottle of complimentary water. Otherwise no open containers within the play space. However, guests who are disrespectful to our space with their food or drink may be asked to put it away.
What can I expect when I walk in the door?
First thing we will check for waivers and fill out any that are not yet done. Then you will be taken to your space by one of our team members and given a short briefing on our policies and a general overview of how to use the systems. The timer will begin once you start playing a game, and our team members will be available to ready to assist you if it is needed. After your done, all you have to decide is whether your done for the day or if you'd like to keep going!
Do you have special rates for groups such as bachelor/bachelorette parties, Birthday parties, or work events?
Absolutely! Just call, text, or email and we would be happy to discuss these with you.
What's with the 6% booking 'fee'?
The booking company we use to process credit cards and organize bookings charges that fee on all online bookings. However if you book in person or over the phone, then there is no extra fee for you. So think of it as a 'convenience fee'.
